CLOTH BASE TAPE – PTFE TEFLON CLOTH TAPE

PTFE (Poly-Tetra-Fluoro-Ethylene) is a synthetic fluoroploymer that helps to find various applications. PTFE is said to be a material of remarkable properties. Some of the remarkable properties used in PTFE are friction free, non-flammable, non-stick, resistant to atmospheric conditions, self-lubricating, non-toxic, and resistant to atmospheric conditions. The electrical properties in PTFE are spreader equal outstanding and they are maintained over a wide working temperature.

Fibre glass is also a material of remarkable properties. The fabrics are made up of filament, in which the filament has to be continuously yarned that exhibits superior properties. In fabrics manufacturing the filament exhibits the superior properties in terms of high temperature resistance, high tensile strength, electric and sound insulation etc.

PTFE coated fiber glass fabrics, which is used to cover antennas at high altitudes. This type of PTFE coated fiber glass fabrics are named as Radomes. Speical grades have been developed in radomes, which allow the microwave to pass through the antennas. These allow the antennas to protect from natural calamities such as snow, rain, moisture etc.
